 LOOKBOOK 2002/03

Shapes and Patterns were derived from a large vintage corset .Elastic details , corset fastenings and proportions were adapted to delicate silk dresses and tops. Net fabric in cotton and nylon has been draped to create tunics, neckline details and attached corset belts. The print of rusted iron filings on silk tops , t-shirts and cocktail dresses revealed a copper shimmering texture scattered all over each garment. An industrial cotton workwear jumpsuit was transformed into a relaxed fitted version as well as a sexy light stretch cotton piece. Accessories were found from vintage fairs and boots were taped and partly painted worn with delicately distressed cocktail dresses .The photographs taken in an East London squat at that time fittet well to the design aesthetic with a grunge feel of faded glamour.
